Description from the publisher:

A haunting meeting of poetry and illustration, this new edition of The Poems of Edgar Allan Poe brings together the dark genius of America’s master of the macabre with the fantastical artistry of W. Heath Robinson. From the mournful cadences of ‘The Raven’ to the spectral beauty of ‘Annabel Lee’, Poe’s most celebrated verses are illuminated by Heath Robinson’s intricate illustrations and decorative designs, rich in atmosphere, wit, and Gothic imagination.

Originally created during the golden age of book illustration, Heath Robinson’s artwork captures both the eerie melancholy and strange elegance that define Poe’s poetry.

This edition contains a new Introduction by R.B. Russell.

The Poems of Edgar Allan Poe is available as a limited edition hardback, printed lithographically, sewn sections, with silk ribbon marker, printed and blocked boards, and head and tailbands. Jacket. 219 + xxiv pps.
